All of your superpowers are always with you, but the ones that have the most impact are usually the ones you use proactively and with purpose.
Weekly inspirational thoughts from our founder and chief imagination officer, Mark Henson.
I admit, I sometimes get jealous of the attention others receive. Here’s a little lesson from nature that’s helping me maintain a healthier perspective.
Can I share with you my biggest struggle in life? It’s feeling the need to present a rather perfect image while knowing that my life is nowhere near perfect.
Have you ever wanted to see into the future? I think most of us would like to see the future (at the very a few days worth of winning lottery numbers, right?). So when I ask if you’ve ever wanted to see into THE future, I mean YOUR future.
You know you can, right?
No? Don’t think so? Hang on. You might in a minute.
Now that I’m focused more and more on living a superpowered life, the benefits of an alcohol-free life have taken on a whole new level of importance.
Ok, I don’t really have THE secret to writing a book or taking on big projects, but I will share with you MY secret.
Oddly enough, I’ve never officially nailed down what I mean when I say a “Superpowered Life”. So, today I’m sharing my definition for the first time.
It is entirely possible that even just 150 years from now, not a single person will know my name (and that’s only if my great, great grandkids log on to Ancestry.com). At first that thought was horribly depressing, but the more I thought about it I discovered it’s not depressing at all. It’s actually quite liberating and motivating. Let me explain.
Protect yourself. Protect your positivity. When you are sucked into a negative flood, your energy is quickly depleted and your superpowers are severely diminished. You can’t think straight. It becomes difficult to even fight your way out of the flow, because a negative flood is a powerful, powerful force, indeed.
I’m going to get a little zen, woo woo and existential on you. Ready? Wherever you are in life is exactly where you need to be right now. Even if you’re not where you want to be right now. Even if you’re not fulfilled where you are right now. Even if you’re in a really bad place right now. I know it doesn’t always FEEL like you’re exactly where you need to be, but trust me, you are.
