We realize that not everyone is ready to embark on this powerful journey of self discovery and transformation. That’s why we try to be very clear about who should attend. So, you’ll get the most out of the summit if you:
Mark Henson is the founder of sparkspace, a company that sparks new thinking with its award winning retreat space and inspirational programs for teams and individuals.
In April of 2017, Mark released his first book, Ordinary Superpowers: Unleash the Full Potential of Your Most Natural Talents The purpose of the book is to help you discover the talents that create the most positive change in your life, the lives of others, and the world around you.
Mark is a very experienced facilitator and public speaker with a fun, inclusive, laid-back style that is especially effective in a retreat setting like the Superpower Summit.
Who attends The Superpower Summit?
We get a range of business professionals from many different industries. The one thing they have in common is that they really desire to contribute more and get more fulfillment from work (and life). They often know they have a lot to offer, but feel a little stuck at the moment. Typical age range is 30-50, fairly evenly split between men & women.
Can I bring my team?
Please contact us to discuss multiple ticket purchases. We do recommend considering who from your team would be a good fit. We see the best results when employees attend because they’re excited to learn and NOT because they feel that their attendance is a mandate from their manager.
How long is the event?
This special version of the summit starts at 9am and will officially end at 6pm. You are welcome to stay and play in the woods or on the lake afterward, or even enjoy dinner in the Hideaway Hills Lodge before returning to Columbus.
Is there any “pre-work” before the event?
We send out some things to think about ahead of time, but no work to prepare. We’ve made The Superpower Summit a self-contained event.
Is there any follow-up after the event?
Every attendee will receive two items to help them in their ongoing development. One is a copy of Mark’s book, Ordinary Superpowers: Unleash the Full Potential of Your Most Natural Talents. The other is an invite to join Mark’s “Super Secret SUPERFRIENDS” Facebook group for ongoing encouragement, connection, and development.
Who is the facilitator?
Mark Henson facilitates this retreat. Mark is a very experienced retreat leader and the founder of sparkspace. He has done extensive work in this area and is currently writing a book on the material. You can find out more about Mark on his personal website.
What is included in the registration fee?
This is an all-inclusive event. You will receive high-quality materials, plus healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day, parking, a copy of Mark’s book, and membership in our private Superpowered Life Facebook Group.
What kind of food do you provide?
We partner with amazing caterers to provide healthy, high-energy meals and snacks at our retreats. We also provide locally roasted coffee, high-quality tea, and a variety of other refreshments at all times.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Email is best: email@example.com. You can also call our office: 614-224-7727
Is my registration/ticket refundable?
Workshop registration works like a concert ticket. It is non-refundable, but you can definitely give or sell your ticket to someone else if you can’t make the event. In some cases, we will also allow you transfer your ticket to a future summit. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Where is the event?
This special summertime Superpower Summit will be held at Mark Henson’s private retreat cabin in Hideaway Hills, about an hour south of Columbus. It is a classic mid-century A-Frame cabin with modern amenities located in the woods on a private lake. We will be building in time to hike, swim, kayak, fish, or whatever else you like to do outside. ADDRESS AND DRIVING DIRECTIONS WILL BE SENT AFTER YOU REGISTER.
Are there hotels nearby?
Mark’s cabin is only 50 miles from Columbus and it is an easy drive. However, if needed (or desired) there are two places that rent cabins within just a few minutes of where the retreat will be held:
There are hundreds more cabins in the nearby Hocking Hills area (20-60 minutes), as well as hotels in Lancaster and Logan (20 min), Ohio. Keep in mind that Summer is the busy season, so places book up quickly.
