SO many people this week are asking “What can I do?”
Do = act. It’s as simple as that. Well, sort of.
Not all action is equal, or even effective.
You could jump, ill-equipped, into some cause or conversation and become just another another voice or warm body in the crowd.
You’ve been given some superpowers for a moment just like this. You have a unique combination of abilities, talents, and skills that nobody else has. When you apply them you can create positive change in a way nobody else can.
If you’re wondering how to help, how to contribute positively to what’s happening in the world — your world — right now, start by considering what you can do with your superpowers.
Maybe there is a cause or conversation that desperately needs your superpowers. Or maybe your family, friends or company simply need you to be your absolute best as the world goes to hell in a handbasket for a minute.
I’ve been wondering and praying about what I can do, too. The answer for me, at least at this moment, is to encourage and equip people to use their superpowers for good.
I have a book that does just that. I also have a workshop that does just that. I’ve been in full-blown promotion mode on the two of these things for weeks.
But not today. Not this week.
This week I’ve decide to take a different kind of action that leverages MY superpowers of exploring the new, simplifying things, and communicating ideas through writing and speaking.
This week I’m giving away 100 copies of my book, Ordinary Superpowers, to encourage and equip at least 100 people to make a positive difference in their lives, the lives of others, and the world around us all.
I’ll also be covering the postage to get it to you.
I won’t lie, I hesitated before taking this action. It’s a lot of money out of my pocket and I haven’t even come CLOSE to paying off the cost of self-publishing this book yet. Yet, I just know this is the right thing to do, because it’s what I CAN do right now, from where I am, from who I am.
I want you to discover, activate, enhance, and multiply your Ordinary Superpowers so you can create even more positive change. So here’s how to get your free copy of my book:
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your best physical address.
It will be first come/first serve. And I truly hope it serves you, our country, and our world.
P.S. It might take me a day or two to get these all in the mail, so please be patient.
P.P.S. Feel free to share. Even if you don’t want a book, I hope this post helps people think about what we all can do, from where we are, from who we are.
